I had a chance to catch up with some friends in the UK via phone and e-mails.We got on the subject of sweets.... and yes, I started craving British desserts. I stopped by Whole Foods to pick up some gingerbread and made a small batch of Bird's custard to smother it with!
I could really go for some treacle sponge just about now.....
